Kathryn Williams, unofficial winner of the coveted Author with Longest Book Title of the Year for her aptly named Pizza, Love, and Other Stuff that Made Me Famoushas been celebrating the release of Pizza with author events, signings, and cooking classes.

A few weeks ago Kathryn stopped in at Super Suppers in Franklin, Tennessee for a signing and cooking class.

I used to work in the kitchen at Super Suppers, and you would be hard-pressed to find a kinder, classier set of ladies than these. The event was a blast, and I could not have done it without them (especially Phemie and Karen). I demo’d Sophie’s mother’s tomato sauce and then Karen taught them how to make Braided Pizza Bread (a Super Suppers favorite) while I signed books and chatted. We also tasted a few recipes from the book.

Book Description: Sixteen-year-old Sophie Nicolaides was practically raised in the kitchen of her family’s Italian-Greek restaurant, Taverna Ristorante. When her best friend, Alex, tries to persuade her to audition for a new reality show, Teen Test Kitchen, Sophie is reluctant. But the prize includes a full scholarship to one of America’s finest culinary schools and a summer in Napa, California, not to mention fame.

Once on set, Sophie immediately finds herself in the thick of the drama—including a secret burn book, cutthroat celebrity judges, and a very cute French chef. Sophie must figure out a way to survive all the heat and still stay true to herself. A terrific YA offering—fresh, fun, and sprinkled with romance.

Pizza, Love, and Other Stuff that Made Me Famous is a contemporary teen romance full of reality tv, food, and cute European guys. What’s not to love?
